Marianist BILAC 2015 Dates & Theme

Marianist BILAC 2015 – Spirit of Malia

With our theme of Spirit of Malia we celebrate BILAC’s origins in Hilo on the Big Island at Malia Puka O’Kalani Parish as well its present life with the Marianists at Chaminade University and Saint Louis School.  This “Spirit of Mary” is one that calls us to, like Mary, bring Jesus to life in our world.  Over the past 40 years BILAC has attempted to enflesh the spirit of O’hana and the spirit of Aloha in our times of prayer and spiritual growth together.  Therefore, we celebrate what the Spirit of Malia has been and what it will be as we move forward in our efforts to bring Christ to the world.

This year’s dates for Marianist BILAC are November 5 – 7, 2015.  Among this year’s presenters are keynoters include: composer and lyricist Bob Hurd and his wife Pia Moriarty   .  The Mackey Lecturer will be Fr. Jan Michael Joncas, theologian and scholar, with a special interest in liturgy for youth and young adults.
